Privacy policy

This policy describes what data we collect on cornerWait (the "Site"), the legal basis on which we process it, and what rights you have under the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council).

Data controller

The controller of personal data collected via the Site is Remigiusz Pyrek. Contact: YouTube channel RemigiuszPyrek.

What data we collect

• Local data (localStorage) — corner-hit counter, bounce counter and your cookie decision (keys dvd_hits, dvd_bounces, dvd_consent). This data never leaves your browser and is never visible to us.
• Google Analytics 4 (only if you consent) — GA session identifier, anonymised IP address, browser language, device type, traffic information.
• Google AdSense (only if you consent) — IP address, advertising identifiers and data that allows personalised ads to be served. Details of Google's data collection are described in Google's advertising policy.

Legal basis and purpose of processing

• Legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — running and securing the Site, local statistics held in the user's browser.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — Google Analytics 4 and Google AdSense. You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the page footer.

Data recipients

Data may be transferred to Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) as a processor for Google Analytics and Google AdSense services. Google may transfer data to the United States under standard contractual clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Retention period

Data in localStorage is kept in your browser until you clear it. Google Analytics data is kept for the default GA4 retention period (14 months). Google AdSense advertising data is kept per Google's policy.

Your rights

• right of access to your data,
• right to rectification,
• right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"),
• right to restriction of processing,
• right to object to processing based on legitimate interest,
• right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal),
• right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Poland that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (uodo.gov.pl).

Cookies and localStorage

The Site itself does not set any cookies. It uses localStorage exclusively on your browser side — this is not the same as cookies and therefore does not require a separate banner. Cookies may only be set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense, and only after you grant consent in the cookie banner.
